The award will be presented at Clean, to be held in Atlanta July 30-August 2, 2022. The award presentation will be made during ARTA’s member meeting, Breakfast at Clean, held the second day of the exhibition.  ARTA President Gabriel Boardman will present the 2022 award. Nonmembers are welcome to attend the event.

Nate Belkin Award Criteria — Nominations are open to all ARTA members, both laundries and suppliers. Nominators are asked to submit an online application form on www.www.arta1.com which includes a 150 to 200-word rationale for receiving the award. Work samples can be attached to the nomination form or mailed to ARTA.

 Selection Process — A nominating committee of two operators and two suppliers from the ARTA Board will review nominations and the Nate Belkin Committee may contact finalists, as needed, to learn more about their entry. The committee will then make a recommendation on the finalists for the award.

About the Nate Belkin Award — Marketing reusable textiles in a disposable-centric society is challenging. However, ARTA’s mission is to create greater awareness and appreciation for woven textiles and in 2017 founded the Nate Belkin Award.The Nate Belkin Award for Excellence in Marketing Reusable Textiles is presented biennially to the ARTA member company that best exemplifies ARTA’s mission. Nate Belkin, PhD, founded ARTA in 1982 while working for Fashion Seal Healthcare. He passed in 2010.In 2017, Lac-Mac Limited of London, Ontario, received the Nate Belkin Award. In 2019, CEO Greg Gurtler and Gurtler Industries of South Holland, Illinois were awarded.
